My name is Paul Hennessee. I am a teacher, musician and composer living and working in New York City. While I have a full-time job that I love, I still constantly seek new and exciting challenges. I currently play in the Americana-inspired rock band, Urban Coyotes. We have recently recorded our first album of original songs that will be released in the summer of 2017. My name may be Paul Hennessee, but my Coyote name is Coyote Rojo. As a composer, I seek commissions from schools, churches and individuals. I have written music for 300-member choirs, small instrumental ensembles, Shakespeare plays and rock bands. I like to stretch myself as a musician and composer and will most likely accept any challenge offered. I also have experience with arranging and I work quite quickly. If you have a song you would like arranged for choir or some other ensemble then I am your man. Prior to moving to New York, I lived in Houston and Sacramento. I was a member of the Air Force Band of the Golden West where I played the French horn in the concert and marching bands and woodwind quintet. I also played bass guitar in the jazz ensemble and rock band for a portion of my tenure. While in the Air Force, I got to travel all over the entire western part of the United States. I also had the good fortune of traveling to Hawaii two times. In the summer of 2017, I will be traveling to Ireland for the first time. Though my name is spelled Paul Hennessee, I am looking forward to meeting several of my distant relatives who all spell their name Hennessy. Another thing I discovered about my Irish relatives is that many of them are musicians.
